Kleenz Hard Floor Cleaners

Cream or reddish in colour. It’s formed through the accumulation of calcite from hot springs. It contains lots of holes that are formed from sulphur bubbles eating away at the stone.

These holes are often filled with synthetic resins or cement; this may cause the appearance of the polished travertine to look inconsistent. It requires more maintenance when the holes are not filled (called cross-cut).

To ensure the natural beauty of your Travertine floors, they must be protected with a high-quality sealer or impregnator. Like all natural stone floors, if not maintained correctly, these sealers /impregnators can break down and your beautiful stone floor will begin to show signs of wear and deterioration with time.

The Process

Step 1 - Room & Floor Preparation
Due to health & safety and insurance restrictions, we respectfully ask you to move all furniture and breakable items.

Our craftsmen will then carefully protect skirting boards and wall coverings using appropriate low tack tape, waterproof plastic or waxed paper.
Step 2 - Vacuuming
A thorough vacuuming of the entire area is carried out to remove any dry dirt.
Step 3 – Stripping old sealers
We apply our unique wax and residue remover, then agitate the solution using rotary cleaning machines.

This is a sophisticated blend of complex solvents and the latest surfactants, enabling the fast and effective removal of old sealers, wax, polish dirt, grease and grime..

Step 4 - Cleaning
Using our unique cleaning system utilizing three components working in harmony, agitation,1200 psi of water pressure and a huge vacuum volume, soil, dirt, and bacteria will be removed from your tiles and porous grout leaving the floor perfectly clean and residue free.
Step 5 – Sealing/Impregnating
Once the cleaning process is complete, we apply 5 coats of a Travertine impregnator or sealer of your choice to protect your stone from both water and oil-based stains.

The above process is also used to restore other natural stone surfaces such as Limestone Travertine, Sandstone, Slate, Terracotta and Quarry tiles and can also be used for restoring vinyl floors such as Karndean, Amtico and more.
